Donna Mae Reichenberger

April 5, 1946 - February 2, 2022

Donna Mae Reichenberger passed away peacefully at home on February 2nd, 2022. She was born to Herbert and Florence Zanderon April 5th,1946. She grew up in Oshkosh Wisconsin where she met the love of her life Jerry in high school and married him on February 23, 1963 which would have been 59 years. Together they had 3 wonderful sons,Michael, Dennis and Mark (Gina) and was blessed to have 2 grandchildren Brandon (Mary) and Jace and 1 great grandchild Chase plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ronnie, David, and Roger and her parents. She's survived by her sister Mary. Her family was her life. When they were happy she was happy. She adored and loved children in general, especially her grandson Jace, she also wanted to one day hold her great grandchild Chase, but she never got that opportunity. She loved to read her book called mornings with Jesus everyday. She never had much time for hobbies. But once in a while the two would go to the casinos for some fun together. In her free time she was a great flagman and announcer for Brandon and Grandpa at the raceway in the driveway. She would play cards with Mike and his friends. Because of her loving, laughable personality her son's friends would often ask how "Bruiser" was doing. She loved to watch for Cardinals outside her window and had many in her home. There was never a stranger she didn't say hello to. And if you are a friend of Donna's you were a friend for life. Donna had worked at Fields restaurant in Oshkosh. She then work for the Oshkosh school systems for many years until retirement. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Donna on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 11 am in St. Jude Parish, St. Vincent Catholic Church, corner of Oregon St. and South Park Ave. in Oshkosh. The Rev. Louis Golamari as celebrant. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday evening in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. from 5 pm until 7 pm at which time a parish prayer service will be held. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of Mass. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. He closed His arms around her and whispered "Come to me" In tears we saw you sinking we watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully, free from pain. We would not wish you back to suffer that again. So treasure her Lord in your garden of rest. For here on earth Donna was one of the best. We wish to thank Father Louis, deacon Brad, and Marrianne for their thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers or gifts, making a donation to thee Ronald McDonald house or St. Jude Hospital in her name would be appreciated. I LOVE YOU mommy bear, you were my life.----Jerry
