Gary J Kempinger

Gary Joseph Kempinger, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Theda Care in Neenah. He was born in Oshkosh on September 29, 1957; the son of the late Joseph and Marcella (Putzer) Kempinger. Until the time of his retirement, Gary was employed by AT&T as an in-house technician. Gary loved riding in his convertible, flying on his birthday, sitting on the beach, caring for his cats (Autumn, Batman, and Gracie), and spending time with family and friends. Gary is survived by three sisters, Sandra Mitchell, Sharon Mueller, and Mary Jo Anderson; one “brother”, Jim Matschi; two nieces, Kristine Mitchell and Claire Anderson; two nephews, Brian Mitchell and Graham Anderson; and one very dear friend, Lisa Richlich. Gary was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Wayne Mueller and Eric Anderson; and good friend, Gary Taillefer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 21, at 11:00 AM in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (Sacred Heart site) with the Rev. Louis Golamari officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the hour of services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s name may be given to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (Sacred Heart Parish) or the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. We love and will miss you. You are the best little brother ever
