Alma Dorschner's Obituary
Alma J. Dorschner, 99 of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Evergreen Manor. She was born, August 8, 1914 in Milwaukee the daughter of the late Edward G. and Sylvia Kuemmerlein. She married Wilmer E. Dorschner November 18, 1939 in Oshkosh.
Alma was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at the Salvatorian Missions in New Holstein, a member of the Christ Child Society, the Catholic Wars Vets Aux; NARFE organization and Post Office Aux. She had a Drapery Business for many years. Sewing and painting were her hobbies. In later years rug weaving and most of all quilting. She knit 100 pair of mittens for the Salvation Army years back and made Baptism overlays for St. Raphael's church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (Michael) Behrendt of Arkdale WI, Patricia Walter of Oshkosh. One brother, Edward Kummerlein of Winneconne and her nephew David (Connie) Lemberger of San Jose CA. Five grandchildren, Sarah (John) Zblewski, Kurt Gunther, Jeremy (Jessica) Walter, Jarmen (Tracy) Walter and Janyne (Matthew) Erickson and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Lois V. Gunther, her sister, Viola Lemberger and her brother Bill Kuemmerlein.
Her daughters would like to thank all the Nurses and Aids at Evergreen for their attention and care they gave to Alma during her 4 year stay at Evergreen. We could not have done this without their help.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 2, 2013 at 6pm, in St. Raphael's Catholic Church, the Rev. Doug Le Captain officiating. Family and friends may call at the Church Monday, from 4pm until the time of services.
