Amelia V. Pickart's Obituary
Amelia V. Pickart, age 101, of Oshkosh, passed away on December 8, 2015. She was born on December 7, 1914 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Stephany) Pickart. She lived in the Oshkosh area all of her life. She worked as a waitress in her younger years and in later years at various different jobs. She also did volunteer work for many years. Amelia was a member of the Legion of Mary. She is survived by a sister, Selma Kolb of Oshkosh and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tony (Cecilia); sisters, Regina (Leo) Gulden, Sarah (Frank) Ehms, Josephine (Leander) Hartman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Amelia on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, corner of Sixth and Knapp with the Rev. Matt Simonar as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. The family wishes to thank her special caretaker, Debbie (Gulden) Schmude for her loving care of Amelia for the past ten years. The family would also like to thank Hospice and all of the caretakers that have helped Amelia.
