Andrew L. Perrie's Obituary
Andrew L. Perrie passed away peacefully on March 6 at the age of 83. He was born June 15, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Paul (nee Parrinello) Perrie and Rose (nee Pavich) Perrie.
Andrew was a graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School, Michigan College of Mining & Technology (BS Mathematics) where he was a proud member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, Michigan State University (MS Mathematics) where he met his loving wife, Margaret, of nearly 60 years, and the University of Oregon (PhD Mathematics). He began his career by teaching for five years in the Math Department of the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and then for 31 years in the Computer Science Department of UW–Oshkosh. He retired June 2005. He enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and traveling, especially to Italy. He was flabbergasted when he went to Marsala, Sicily seeking genealogy information and was introduced to a cousin at the records office.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his beloved wife Margaret (nee Roney); three cherished daughters: Judith (Martin) Daly of Mystic, CT, Janet Perrie of Wauwatosa, WI and Dianna (Peter) Welch of Brookfield, WI; five adored grandchildren: Aileen Herman, Camille Herman, Conor Daly, Ciara Daly, and Abigail Welch; and his brother Robert (Linda) Perrie of Augusta, MI.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr.). Visitation will be from 10 :00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 12, 2026 at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home. A private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
