Anita Davis' Obituary
Anita L. “Fritzie” (Spanbauer) Davis, age 86 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully in her sleep in her home on Thursday, October 24, 2013.
Anita was born in Oshkosh, February 8, 1927, the daughter of George and Leone Ferdinand Spanbauer. A lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church, and the Sacred Heart Alter Society. She worked at the Roxy Supper Club for 28 years.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband Keith T. Davis, her parents, her son in law, Gary Kramer and two brothers, (Kenneth and Elmer Spanbauer). She is survived by one brother Richard (Barbara) Spanbauer and two sisters in law, Wilma Lucas and Helen Davis. She is also survived by six children, Keith (Denise) Davis, Daniel Davis, Debra Kramer, Darlene Behrend, Gary Davis and Glen Davis. She has 11 grand-children, and 8 great grand-children.
We are taking the time to list the grand-children and great grand-children here because they were her number one joy in life! Grand-children are Jodi, K James, Daniel, Christine, Jennifer, April, Adam, Jason, Steven, Josh, Grant. Great Grand-children are Bianca, Cammie, Alexx, Trenton, Trevor, Jaida, Adalyn, Easton.
Anita loved to crochet and she made beautiful afghans for all her children and grand children. Her other passion was reading. It was a difficult task trying to keep her in reading material.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 am in Sacred heart catholic Church, the Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, from 9:30 am until the time of services. The “rock” of the Davis family she will be missed by us all.
