Antone Joseph Kallin's Obituary
Antone Kallin, affectionately known as Tony Baloney, passed away on April 5,
2023 at the age of 90 in Lakeshore Manor, Oshkosh, WI. He was the beloved
husband of Donna Kallin, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Tony was born on July 8, 1932, to Antone and Philomena (Mamie) Kallin
(Jungbauer). As a young boy, he worked at Bohn Farms, where he developed a
close relationship with Bert Genz, who he considered his second father. Tony
went on to become a semi-truck driver for Cook & Brown, Winnebago County,
Excelsior Plant, USPS, Coke Cola Company, and 7-Up Company. He retired from
7-Up when the company relocated.
Tony was a faithful Catholic and a 40-year member of the Elks Club #292. He
enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and helping his neighbors by
mowing their lawns and removing snow. Tony will always be remembered for his
sense of humor and his wheeling and dealing.
Tony is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughters Carol (Richard) Pucker,
Betty (Thomas) Schwertfeger, and Pamela (Anthony) Kasper. He is also
survived by step-children Michael, Timothy, James, Susan, Sandra, and
Stephanie. He has seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, with another
great-grandchild due in June, and sixteen step-grandchildren and ten
step-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his oldest sibling Florence,
several nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife Janice Bunke. He was preceded in
death by his parents, brother Stanley (Butch), sisters Geraldine Warner and
Mary Ann Sieger, sister-in-law Alexander Kallin, and brother-in-laws Jerry
Warner, Donald Sieger, and Hilbert Patt.
Funeral services for Tony will be held at Fiss and Bills - Poklasny Funeral Homes,
(870 W. South Park Avenue, Oshkosh, WI) on Thursday April 13, at 12:00 PM with the Rev Jerome Pastors officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:30 AM until the hour of services.
