Ardis Hable's Obituary
Ardis L. Hable, age 84, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday morning, May 27, 2010. She was born on June 6, 1925 in Antigo, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie (Westover) Curtis. She married Herbert E. Hable on March 28, 1942 in Oshkosh. Herbert preceded her in death on June 30, 1982. She had worked for Bethel Home. Ardis greatly enjoyed golfing, bowling, stitchery and crocheting, but her favorite times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Thomas (Gail), Larry "Pete" (Judy), Richard (Barb) and Mark (Linda), all of Oshkosh; her daughters, Michelle (Robert) Rohan of Omro and Danette (David) Wyatt of Racine; twelve grandchildren, Kelly Hable, Nicole (Tom ) Dobberstein, Trista (Ryan) Rahn, Erin (Jeff) Lang, Cindy (Patrick) Mc Laughin, Mike (Kathryn) Hable, Scott Hable, Brian Hable, Jennifer (Steve) Schroeder, Jashua (Trisha) Friday, Justin Hable and Meghan Hable; eleven great-grandchildren, D.J. Elmer, Ian and Ty Dobberstein, Jerred Friday Schroeder, Kalen Schroeder, Sean and Connar Mc Laughin, Payton and Keenan Rahn and Indrie and Andy Friday. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon and Fred "Fritz" Curtis.
Funeral services for Ardis will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. with the Reverend Fr. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held for the Hable family at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
