Audrey Ruth Felker's Obituary
Audrey Felker, age 92, passed into the arms of her Lord in the early morning of Monday,
December 16th, 2024. Surrounded by her children and Elwyn, her devoted husband of 72 years,
she leaves behind an enduring legacy of faith, love, and family. Born on September 7, 1932, at
Mercy Medical Center on Hazel Street, Audrey was the middle child of Clarence and Dorothy
(Kempinger) Swanke. A lifelong Oshkosh resident and homemaker, she spent her final days at
Bella Vista Senior Living—located at the same place of her birth—a reminder of a joyful life
coming full circle. She graduated from Oshkosh High School, where she was a member of the women’s bowling team. It was during this time that she met the love of her life at a baseball game. On July 5th,
1952, she married Elvie at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together, they built the first home on
Faust Avenue, laying the foundation for a growing family that now spans five children, 11
grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Audrey enjoyed sharing recipes and photos, summer picnics, her patio swing, traveling (especially to the casino and Florida), playing games on her tablet, and above all, the company of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Elwyn; children, Debra (Jeff) Berndt, Cheryl (Tim) Clark , Ron
(Patty) Felker, Patti Spaid, and Tim (Cari) Felker; grandchildren, Joseph (Missy) Berndt, Bryan
(Sara) Berndt, Scott (Kim) Berndt, Holly (BJ) Ertmer, Tami (Joel) Swenson, Josh Felker, Justin Kubasta, Jaimee (Nick) Radloff, Kyle (Colleen White) Felker, Marisa (Jake Dylla) Felker, Jarod Felker; and her 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, Gen, Lois, James, and Marjorie; son-
in-law Jake Spaid; and great-granddaughter Adalyn Swenson.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bella Vista Senior Living and the nurses of
Preceptor Home Health & Hospice for their compassionate care of Audrey.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life in the summer. Fiss & Bills-Poklasny
Funeral Home is assisting the family. Those wishing to share condolences or memories are
