Barbara Marianne Dutscheck's Obituary
Barbara Marianne Dutscheck, age 83, passed away, December 11, 2023, with
family and friends by her side. For those present, her final breath was nothing but a miracle.
Barb was born May 10, 1940, to Florance and Henry Dolenshek. She married her grade school sweetheart, James on January 3rd, 1959. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage.
Barb loved family, friends, and huge gatherings, and enjoyed planning these events, included camping, Christmas parties, birthday parties, and let’s get together to play games parties. She was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and the great many friends she has
cherished over the years. She was also, a faithful church parishioner. She loved to be part of the Church and actively participate in numerous activities. She had a passion and dedication to Mary and the Rosary. She volunteered at nursing homes to say the rosary with anyone that would be interested. She shared this passion with her family and friends.
Barb’s legacy is her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved each of them
and prayed that they continue to grow in faith and share family values. She also loved angels. “Make friends with the angels, who though invisible are always with you. Often invoke them, constantly praise them, and make good use of their help and assistance in all your temporal and spiritual affairs.” St Francis de Sales.
Barb is survived by her six children, David (Carrie) of Necedah, Peggy (Caryn) of Oshkosh, Penny (Brian) of Necedah, Daniel (Terese) of Necedah, Laura (Surviving spouse of Douglas) of Oshkosh, James Jr. (Julie) of Oshkosh, and Joseph (April) of Oshkosh; twenty six grandchildren; Theresa (Jennifer), Christopher (Anna), Amber (Mitch), Katrina (Ryan), Eric (Melissa), Amanda (Shawn), Renee (Marshall), Peter (Michaela), Brittany, Joshua (Sam), Isaiah, Anthony (Sarah) Nathaniel (fiancé Lexie), Christa (Hunter), Raegan, Madelyn, Mason, Lei’Anna, Marissa, Noelle, Lindsey, Abigail, Conor, Brandon, James III, Trinity, Samuel and Gabriel; plus twenty-one great grandchildren.
Barb was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Dutscheck Sr; her parents Florence and Henry
Dolenshek; her sister Arlene Theim; her infant son Dennis, who passed away at the early age of six weeks
old, his deceased twin brother Douglas, and an infant grandson David.
Barb will be missed by many family members and friends, please help us celebrate her life.
Services will be held at St Jude (St Vincent Location) 1225 Oregon Street, Oshkosh, WI. There will be a
Memorial Visitation at the church, Sunday Evening, December 17, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The
Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm.
There will be an additional Memorial Visitation at the church, Monday, December 18, 2023, from 9:00 am –10:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial at the church, will begin at 10:00 am.
Family and Friends will travel to Necedah for the Gravesite Ceremony. This will be at the St. Francis of Assisi Grave Site (2001 S Main Street, Necedah, WI) The service will begin at 3:30 pm. Friends and family are welcome to join.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Bethel Nursing Home, the compassionate Hospice staff,
the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home with the arrangements and all that visited, sent messages, and prayed for Barb and the family as she neared her final stage of life.
