Barbara Ann O'Neil's Obituary
Barbara A. O'Neil, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Barbara was born on July 10, 1939 a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Dushenski. She married Marvin J. O'Neil on August 31, 1974 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Barbara graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1957 and then from Nursing School in 1959 with her LPN degree. She spent over 30 years as a LPN for Parkview Health Care Center in Oshkosh after she retired she spent many years volunteering at Mercy Medical Center. A life long lover of cats and dogs, Barbara had many pets that greeted her in heaven. She had a big generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her kids and grandkids were the most important things in her life.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her children, Bruce O'Neil of Oshkosh, Sandra (Richard) de St. Aubin of Berlin, Peggy (Thomas) Thrun of Oconomowoc, Donna (Steven Hermus) Cole of Oshkosh, Gloria (Thomas) Prindle of Appleton; a brother, Robert (Irene) Dushenski of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Patrick Corcoran, Michael (Theresa) Corcoran, Letha (Corby) Harbor, Pamela (Jimmy) Milane, Tiffany (Brad) Forseth, Christopher (Tonie Yankowski) Borgardt, Austin Borgardt, Natalie (Marty) Cherwin, Neil Thrun. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren; nieces, Julie (Pete) Yost and Nancy (Tom) Kraus; other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; a daughter, Kathy Hauer; grandchildren, Alan Cole and Tim Corcoran.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Barbara on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive with the Rev. Kevin Ripley as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Eden Brook of Oshkosh and Mercy Medical Center for the care Barbara received.
