Barbara E. Peppler's Obituary
Barbara E. Peppler, age 77, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2015. She was born on July 18, 1938 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late George and Lillian (Patt) Luebke. She was married to Gerald “Jerry” Peppler. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Barb attended UW-Stout and Oshkosh State College and earned her degree in education. She spent the beginning of her career as a school teacher and ended it as a full time mother of four. Along the way, she was also a caretaker for her mother and sister for many years. When her mother passed, she took her sister Susie in and cared for her as if she was her own. First and foremost, Barb loved her family. She lived for time together with her children and grandchildren. When able, she loved to play piano, sew, craft, and paint. She ALWAYS loved watching FOXNews and talking politics. She was never shy to share her opinions or give you some advice. She also loved traveling to Arizona to visit family and bask in the sun. She loved the sun! As a mother of a sports minded family, she spent hundreds of hours at various sporting events. She never complained once and rarely missed an event. Barb was a woman of perseverance and determination. When her health threw adversity her way, she fought and fought and fought. She had a lot of challenges over the years, but always found a way to fight back. She never quit. She will always be an inspiration to all who knew her. She touched many lives and enriched them all.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her children, Donald (Patti) Peppler of Scottsdale, AZ, Patti (Jamie) Kimball of Oshkosh, Tammy (Spencer) Wright of Winneconne, WI, Tracy (Sean) O’Neil of Scottsdale, AZ. Her grandchildren, Kyle and Kelly Kimball; Hunter and Payton Wright; Katherine and Jack Peppler. She is further survived by other relatives and many very dear friends.
