Barbara J. Rehbein's Obituary
Barbara J. Rehbein, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2015. She was born on June 21, 1933 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Vernon J. and Rose C. (Bloechl) Luebke. She married Edward G. Rehbein on December 28, 1968. Ed preceded her in death in June of 2007. Barbara was a lifetime member of St. Vincent Catholic Church. She had worked for and retired from the former Wisconsin Bell (AT & T). Barbara will be remembered as a very devoted wife and caregiver to her husband for many years.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by a daughter, Vicki (Dick) Nelson of Oshkosh; two sisters, Patricia (Carl) Seibold of Oshkosh and Mary Horejs of Menasha; a grandson, Christopher R. (special friend Rachel) Barter of Omro; a great-grandson, Dylan R. Barter. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, John (Tina) Seibold, Lisa Seibold, Cathy Kuckuk, Patti (Dave) Purcell, Laura (Dave) Lambert; cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded also by a great-grandson, Nathan R. Barter and a brother-in-law, Roger Horejs.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Jude Parish, St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh with the Rev. Fr. Matt Simonar and Deacon Pat Gelhar as celebrants. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to extend a special thank you and heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Eden Meadows for their compassionate care.
