I met Barb when we tended bar together under the old wooden grandstand at the Winnebago County Fair in 1983, when it was located on Murdock and Main. From then on our paths would cross every 1-2 years. At an art fair, at the grocery store, somewhere in Oshkosh. We always recognized each other with a smile and a quick hello. The last time I saw her was about a year ago, when her hair was growing in and she told me that she was living with cancer. Her long beautiful hair was always a signature trait of hers, so it took my by surprise to see it short. Her smile still shone with graciousness and warmth.
My sympathy to her family, friends and Tom. She will be missed by more people than you know.
A rare and beautiful soul. Barb enhanced and enriched my life throughout our 40 year friendship. Always exuding a positive, radiant energy, she touched many lives with her caring, creativity, generosity and love.
Barb was a wonderful lady. Barb was a fun, happy, and great neighbor who always radiated
kindness, unlimited smiles, and no matter what she had just gone through with another "stage" of her cancer, she was positive, upbeat and smiling. Needless to say she was so gifted in the arts.
Our sympathy goes out to all of Barb's family, and especially to Tom Brown, her devoted friend. We will forever miss seeing Barb outside with one of her animal friends, but know she is now at peace with no more pain.
Thanks to our great neighbor for all the wonderful memories of her, and her kindness.

Barb was an AMAZING woman! She gave endlessly to her passion for people and art, encouraging everyone to explore their talents. Lovingly, she created the gallery where all could come and flourish. Valiantly, she battled cancer with grace, always so positive and generous. She will be greatly missed!!! Prayers of peace and grace over all your hearts.
I met Barb about 8 years ago, neighbor across the road. I really didn't know her but considered her as the cat lady, so many cats out side. Over the years so kind hearted, loving and caring. I wish I could have done more for her to take away her pain. Love her will miss her.Sandy Hering
