Becky L. Hamp's Obituary
Rebecca Lynn Hamp, of Keenesburg, Colorado, formerly of Oshkosh, lost her battle with cancer on April 23, 2014. Becky was born in Berlin, WI on June 9, 1956. She spent her childhood in Oshkosh and graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1974. A few years later Becky married Steve Hamp and they moved to Houston, Texas. While in Houston, Becky enjoyed raising her daughter (think rabbits and cheerleading and dance) and worked for UPS for over 20 years. Becky and Steve divorced after about nine years, eventually Becky moved to Colorado to be close to her daughter Jenny and her grandchildren. Becky gathered a close group of friends while living in Colorado and was loving life. She will be sorely and sadly missed. Becky is survived by her daughter, Jennyfer of Denver, Colorado and three beautiful grandchildren, Mykala, Gage and Olivia; her mother, Mona Kienert of Oshkosh; her sisters, Merry (Bruce) Meunier of Houston, Texas, Cindy Houle of Oshkosh; by brothers, Dan (Cindy) Kienert of Oshkosh and Doug (Kelly) Kienert of Gwinn, Michigan. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Holly Brown and Sandra Lawler and her father, Darwin Kienert. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh, with the Rev. David Nothem officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
