Benjamin "Ben" J. Hintze's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Benjamin Joseph Hintze, of Oshkosh on Saturday, November 27 at the age of 53 years. He was born February 5th 1968 to Eugene and Joyce Hintze.
Ben enjoyed all things sports related -- most weekends you would find Ben cheering on his Packers, Badgers, Bucks, Brewers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He continuously loved attending his son’s sporting events where he was able to coach from the stands. Ben had many challenges in life including battling Leukemia, diabetes, liver cancer and attempting to chase down his children, through it all his spirits never wavered.
Ben will be lovingly remembered and his memory will be cherished by his wife of 25 years Carrie: children: Adam and Alex. Grandson, Kai: Brothers; Mike (Pam), Paul (Marla), Matt (Cheryl), Peter (Shelly) and Andrew. Sisters; Rachel (Jerry) Mahun, Julie Wahlberg (Tom Goddard), Jenny (Jim) Baerwald and Ann (Tim) Snyder. Sisters and brothers-in-laws; Kim (Tom) Schaefer, Sheri (Ernie) Brehmer, Vickie (Dan) Krumrei, Jenny (Derek) Cadwell. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was predeceased in death by parents along with his father and mother-in-law LeRoy and Gail Wachholz. Ben will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Per Ben's wishes there will be no formal service. A time for visiting and celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh. In lieu of floral expressions. A memorial fund will be established.
