Bernice G. Herdina's Obituary
Bernice G. Herdina, age 88 of Oshkosh, passed away on July 26, 2016. She was born June 19, 1928 in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Edward and MaryAnne (Anderson) Rehbein.
On September 29, 1951, Bernice married Walter W. Herdina who preceded her in death on July 9, 1963. A graduate of Oshkosh Business College and UW-Oshkosh, she was employed as a Human Resources Manager at Fox Valley Technical College for 25 years.
Bernice was a member and past president of Opti-Mrs., International Association of Administrative Professionals and on the Oshkosh Seniors Center Board of Directors. Also a former member of the Women’s Division of Oshkosh Area, she volunteered at EAA, AARP Fox Aide and Oshkosh Seniors Center.
She was a lifetime member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served as a secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council. Bernice enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling and playing bridge with her many friends.
Bernice is survived by daughters, Cindi, (Theo) Matt, Marianne, (John) Stanton and granddaughter, Emily Matt. She was preceded in death by parents, and brother Edward Rehbein.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Bernice’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 11:00 am, with visitation before Mass from 10:00- 11:00 am at Most Blessed Sacrament – St. Peter location, 435 High Ave., Oshkosh, WI. The family would appreciate contributions to the Oshkosh Senior Center and Most Blessed Sacrament Parish.
