Bertha "Beth" (Spicer) Feirer's Obituary
Bertha "Beth" (Spicer) Feirer, age 83, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday evening August 22, 2009. She was born in Orlando, FL on December 4, 1925 the daughter of Herbert and Bertha (Dawson) Thorndike. She married Karl E. Feirer in 1946 and later married Rev. William J. Spicer in 1970 . She graduated from UW Oshkosh and was employed with the State of Wisconsin as a Probation and Parole Agent. She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. She is survived by her children , Patricia (Dave) Hable, David Feirer and Joan Mokhtari all of Oshkosh ; stepchildren , Sara (Robert) McPherson of Appleton, James (Elaine) Spicer and Stephen (Cara) Spicer both of Gary, Indiana; a sister Carolyn (John) Cartmell of Florida ; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Eucharist will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at the corner of Algoma and Division in Oshkosh on Thursday August 27, 2009 at 11am . Father Steven Powers, Father Charles Cason and Father Jason Blahnik will be con-celebrants. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9am until 11am. In Lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society @ 1925 Shelter Ct. Oshkosh, WI 54901. Beth's family would like to thank Dr. Dar , Dr. Alzoubi and Aurora Hospice for all the care and compassion given to their mother.
