Bette Grace Covill's Obituary
Bette G. Covill, age 81, of Oshkosh, passed away on January 10, 2018 at Mercy
Medical Center. She was born on September 11, 1936 a daughter of the late
Lawrence and Dorothy (Swick) Leitch. She married Eugene D. Covill on August 15,
1959. Eugene preceded her in death on June 17, 2008. Bette was a member of
First United Methodist Church and was self employed for many years in
residential and commercial cleaning. She greatly enjoyed family cook outs,
visiting friends, cooking and was known for "cheating at cards". She will be
sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by two sons, Dale (Sandy)
Covill of Oshkosh, Loren (Rachel) Covill of Warrens; two daughters, Heide
Kriegel of Delevan and Judy (Jay) Prince of Oshkosh; a brother, Bryon (Zona)
Leitch of Kohler; two sisters, Beverly Gillgren of Virginia and Mary Kay (Jerry)
Hedtke of Freedom. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, Gregg, Ben,
Chuck, Nick, Stormie, Dain, Millie, Scott and Tony; four great-grandchildren,
Cordi, Jason, Eli and Sydney; other relatives and many dear friends. She was
preceded in death also by a sister, Pat.
There will be no visitation, a memorial service celebrating her life will be
held on January 20, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in First United Methodist Church, 700 W.
Linwood Ave. in Oshkosh with the Rev. Russ Frees Jr. officiating. Those who
knew Mom were aware of her kind loving heart, her ability to welcome anyone into
her home. Her walk with the Lord was apparent in her life and the lives that
she touched.
