Betty Mae Iverson's Obituary
Betty (Birdsall) Iverson, age 96, of 225 N. Eagle St. Oshkosh, WI, passed away Friday, November 4th at Bethal Home.
Betty was born on June 6, 1926 in Farmington, MN to Ralph and Retha Birdsall. Her mother died when she was two years old, and hew father married Ruth Schuler, who became Betty’s mother. She lived her early life in Farmington, MN and moved to St. Croix Falls, WI as a young woman. There, she met and married her husband, Clayton “Bud” Iverson on March 24, 1946. Bud preceded her in death on August 24, 2004. The family lived many years in Farmington, MN. Betty and Bud later moved to Oshkosh, WI, where they both worked for EAA until their retirement. Betty loved to paint pictures and sew. She was the president of the Oshkosh Senior Center for several years, and ran the gift shop. She was a good friend to many people.
Betty is survived by her children; Thomas (Janel) Iverson of Burlington, WI, Patty (Steve) Weerts of Shawano, WI, Debbie Iverson of Bonduel, WI, and Dan (Ann) Iverson of Wausaukee, WI. Grandchildren; Shane (Sarah) Iverson, Marisa Lombardo, Emily Burr, Will (Kelly) Weerts, Jennifer (Jake) Holbrook, Jasmine Mass. Great-grandchildren; Naomi, Christopher, Quincy, Isabella, Allison, Lucia, Sawyer, Fischer, Crede, Dominique, Gabriel, Delila, Viviana, Camellia and three great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no internment, flowers or funeral at Betty’s request. The family will host an open house “celebration of life” on Friday November 18, 2022 at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh, WI) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
