Betty Jean Wrage's Obituary
Betty Jean Wrage, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away after a brief illness at Froedert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born on June 29, 1928 in Port Washington, WI a daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Guelig) Blumenberg. She married Emerson Henry Wrage on July 16, 1948 in Omro. He preceded her in death. Betty had worked for and retired from the Oshkosh School System having been at Webster Stanley Middle School for 20 years. Betty greatly enjoyed reading and playing with her grand-puppies.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by a son, Michael John (Deborah) Wrage of Henderson, Nevada; a daughter, Lisa Kae (Steven) VanBeek of Appleton; three sisters, Kathleen Grimm of Oshkosh, Carol Mae Wallace of Berlin and Loretta Bellin of Oshkosh. She is further survived by a niece, Teri Lynn Bellin; other relatives and friends. She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Per Betty’s wishes there will be no visitation. Private family services were held with the Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating and internment was in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery in Oshkosh. The family wishes a huge thank you to Evergreen Retirement Community staff for their care of Betty during the past five years, but especially the last eight months.
