BEVERLY ENGELMEYER's Obituary
We are confident and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord IICor 5:8. Beverly Engelmeyer age 91, entered eternal life on May 2, 2017. She was born on March 23, 1926 in Oshkosh. Only daughter of Otto and Lillian Zick. Her spiritual birth was in 1948. She graduated from Oshkosh High School and was employed as a bookkeeper for the Bell Machine Co. She also was treasurer and loan officer for the Bell Employee Credit Union for 15 years. On October 18, 1947 she married John Engelmeyer at Plymouth Congregational Church, where she was a lifetime member. She served as church treasurer, deaconess, and was secretary treasurer of special missions. She also taught Sunday School, Daily Vacation Bible School, and Child Evangelism 5 day clubs. She was one of the original members to help organize the Plymouth prayer chain, the seniors Young at Heart, and the first church tellers. Bev was an avid bowler. She enjoyed her flower garden, crossword puzzles and acrylic painting. She volunteered on the Oshkosh Senior Summer Olympics and the EAA Trams. Most important to her was God and her family. She is survived by 2 daughters Gale (Mike) Hughes Pleasant Prairie WI, Kay Molinski Oshkosh,1 son Todd (Marge) Engelmeyer, Oshkosh, 4 grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Deanna, Samantha, sister-in-law Dorothy Zick, 1 nephews, 1 niece, and her special (daughter) Marianne(Steve) Kramer. She is preceded in death by her husband John, parents, her brother Wesley Zick, her son-in-law Lee Molinski. an infant grandson Timothy John Molinski, and a nephew.
Celebration services will begin with visitation at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home (865 South Westhaven) on Friday May 5, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services for Beverly will begin at 7:00 PM with Deacon James Stadler officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a time of support and fellowship. Memorials have been established in Bev’s memory. A private family committal service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6.
