Beverly Jane Hannis' Obituary
Beverly Jane (Heideman) Hannis passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 at the age of 88. Beverly was born on August 20, 1929 in Oshkosh, WI. Beverly married Milton (Dusty) C. Hannis on September 27, 1947 and they were happily married for 69 years until Dusty’s death in 2016.
Beverly and her husband Dusty owned and operated Harrison Motors in Oshkosh for many years. After she and Dusty retired they moved to Redgranite and enjoyed visits with neighbors and pontoon boat rides on Pearl Lake during the summer months. She and Dusty also belonged to several clubs and organizations. Beverly enjoyed traveling with Dusty to USS Menard ship reunions around the country and they hosted the USS Menard’s ship reunion in Oshkosh in 1994.
Being with family was very important to Beverly. She loved celebrating the holidays and hosted many memorable family Christmas Eve parties and Christmas morning breakfasts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for making delicious soups and baking sweet treats for her family. She also loved planting and tending to her flowers and feeding birds. Beverly was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church and took pleasure in baking cookies to raise money for the church at the Oshkosh Saturday Farm Market.
Beverly is survived by sons Michael (Gwen Fischer) and Jeffrey (Jodi) and daughter Sussette (Jeffrey) Hall, grandchildren Christopher (Kathy), Jennifer (Douglas Drenzek), Sarah (Allan IV) Ransom, Angela Janzen (Aaron Lloyd) and Jacob Hall, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Margaret Heideman, brother Jerry Heideman, sister Corrine Privoznik and grandson Mark Hannis.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church at 222 Church Avenue Oshkosh, WI 54901. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service. Pastor Connie Weiss will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Christ Lutheran Church of Oshkosh (222 Church Avenue) or Ascension Hospice ( 2074 American Drive Suite A Neenah, WI 54956).
