Beverly Ann Schuster's Obituary
Beverly (Bev) Ann Schuster, age 78, passed away on May 27, 2026, after an unforgiving battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Bev was born on January 17, 1948, to her beloved parents, Herbert and Agnes Thomae, in Antigo, Wisconsin.
She married the love of her life, Dr. William (Bill) Schuster, on August 8, 1970, after attending school with him since fifth grade. Bev attended St. Peter’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Lourdes Academy High School with Bill in 1966. She graduated from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Bev then went on to teach first grade in Milwaukee, supporting Bill during dental school and then his orthodontic residency. She was, in Bill’s words, “the best thing that ever happened to me.” Bev and Bill had four wonderful children together. Raising and guiding them was her greatest skill and joy. Bev loved being a mother and grandma. As busy as she was raising four children, she still found time to substitute teach and help Bill with his orthodontic practice. She made sure all their staff members felt part of a family and loved entertaining them. Bev served as president of the St. Mary’s School Board, Chairperson of the Lourdes Auction, volunteered at the Christine Ann Center, and served on the Mercy Medical Foundation board of directors.
After Bill retired, they enjoyed traveling and snorkeling all over the world. They also enjoyed their time together, kayaking, boating, biking and especially walking. Another favorite pastime was cheering on the Green Bay Packers, attending countless games with Tom and Peggy Schuster, as season ticket holders. Beyond all else, Bev’s years at their cottage on Long Lake were among her favorite and will be remembered by all who visited that special place. Bev’s motto at the lake was “the more the merrier” and “what happens at grandma’s stays at grandma’s.”
Bev is survived by and her memory will be cherished her husband, Dr. William Schuster, four children, Dr. Laurie Muller (Dr. Jay Muller), Julie Maslowski (Dr. Michael Maslowski), Dr. Susan Klobucarich (Steven Klobucarich), and John Schuster (Annie Schuster); and beloved grandchildren, Gabrielle Muller-Goksal (Can), Andrew Muller (Tera), Mia Maslowski, Max Maslowski, Zachary Klobucarich, Cade Klobucarich, Mason Schuster, Colton Schuster.
