Bonnie Schneider's Obituary
Bonnie Schneider (née Farry), beloved mom, sister, aunt, grandma and friend passed away on October 15, 2024 at the age of 76. Bonnie was born on November 5, 1947 in Oshkosh to the late Gertrude (Klima) and Bert Farry. She grew up in Oshkosh and was one of twelve children.
She married her husband, Thomas Schneider, with whom she spent nearly 40 years loving and caring for. Bonnie devoted herself to being a homemaker for the majority of her life while raising four children; she never failed to have a warm meal on the table and a well kept home. When Bonnie became “Grammy” she continued to provide the same love and care to her grandchildren. Sometimes they faked being sick, just to be with Grammy for a day eating deep-fryer snacks and watching TV. Send offs always included her special, one of a kind gesture, letting us know just how much we were loved.
She was kind, genuine, and spunky. In recent years, she could be found watching her favorite true crime shows, perusing the aisles of Goodwill or Hobby Lobby for trinkets to add to her home, cooking meals for those she loved, or spending time with family. She would catch you off guard with witty comments, provide her always sound advice, and giggle at the near constant jokes or banter that we wish we could still hear. There are not enough words to describe her time on this earth and what she meant to us. This holiday season won’t be the same without her strawberry truffle, big smile while gabbing around the table, or her warm hugs.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Todd (Janet Korth) Blanchette, Jodi Blanchette, Shannon Blanchette, and Heather (Doug) Schultz; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Ian) Korsch, Elora Stacey (Tylor Losser), Hannah Seidl, Caine Stacey (Anna Werner), and Erik Blanchette; sisters, Carol Raugh, Cindy (Lenny) Schlag, Sandy Moriarty, Renee (Lee Wichser) Nelson, Pam (Lanny) Queen; brothers, Mike Farry, Tracy Farry and Bert Farry; special nieces Leah Raugh and Madonna Farry, as well as many other nieces and nephews and special dog, Charlie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Schneider; mother and father, Gert and Bert Farry; sisters, Christine Farry and Julie Scheller; brother, Harold Farry; brother in law, Harvey Raugh and best friend, Sandy Loper.
Bonnie’s memory will live on in the many, many people she loved and who loved her in return. We are so lucky she was ours. A celebration of life will be held to honor her life on November 9, 2024 from 5pm - 9pm at Copper Hall in Oshkosh.
