Carlene T. Luebke's Obituary
Carlene (Mohr) Luebke, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026. She was born on August 19, 1945, to Ervin and Dottie Mohr, and grew up with a deep love for faith, family, and community. Carlene was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church, where she faithfully attended Mass, sang in the choir, and was an active part of the PCCW. Her gentle spirit and warm presence made her a cherished friend to many .Her fondest working years were spent at Sears with Mary Jo and Evang. She had a lifelong love for antiques, flowers, and Friday night fish frys, and she treasured the special birthday club she shared with her closest friends for more than fifty years. She also very much enjoyed cooking for the Oshkosh warming shelter.
Carlene married Steve Luebke, who cared for her with unwavering devotion. She is survived by her sons Chris (Esther), Casey (Lisa), and Tim (Michelle); her sister Clair and brotherinlaw Dean Becker III; and her many beloved grandchildren: Audrey Cortes, Sydney Levy, Malorie and Emma Koelbl, Rachel and John, Logan and Molly Luebke, Jamie (Ken) Marshall Luebke, Jeremiah, Joshua, and Makaela Luebke, Hunter Cantrell, Max and Hannah Cantrell, and Hannah Cantrell. Carlene is also survived by extended family members Stephen and Katherine Luebke Jr., Tim and Kelli Luebke, Melissa Feldner, Doug and Nicole Luebke, and Elizabeth and Travis Cantrell. She was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Dottie Mohr, her loving sister Charlotte, and her dear friends Pat Branigan and Mary Ellen Rapp. Carlene’s life was enriched by countless friendships — far too many to name — each one held close to her heart. Special recognition is given to Liz, Carol Mueller, Kay Bloesl, Jane Meyer, and her dear friend Millie Harron, who never missed a birthday lunch with Carlene in over 50 years.
Carlene will be remembered for her kindness, her steady faith, her joyful laugh, and the way she made every person feel seen and loved. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11am in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of mass.
