Carol Jean Kentopp's Obituary
Carol Jean Kentopp, age 83, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 at the Residence in Oshkosh. She was born on February 4, 1943 a daughter of the late Leslie and Etta (Woodworth) Dunham. She married Ronald Edward Kentopp Sr. on March 25, 1961. Mom was passionate about her in home child care for many years having helped many children. She greatly enjoyed crafting with her grandchildren and will be remembered for her great love of family.
Mom is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband of 65 years, Ronald; a son, Ronald (Jennifer) Kentopp Jr. of Nebraska; a daughter, Diana (Craig) Thern of Larsen; three grandchildren, Garret, Bryce and Marisa Thern; a great-granddaughter, Ella Dausey. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Anklam and a brother, Wayne Dunham.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2 pm in the Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held in the chapel from 1 pm until the time of service. The family wishes to thank Preceptor Hospice, especially Sam, Kory and Jamie for the care that was extended to Carol and her family.
