CAROL PAULICK's Obituary
Carol G. Paulick, age 79, of Oshkosh, passed away early Tuesday Morning April 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center ICU with her family by her side, after a brave struggle with COPD. She was born in Oshkosh on December 14, 1934 the daughter of the late Herman and Marie Heinzl Voelkel. Carol married Stanley Paulick in St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh on January 26, 1957. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2004. She was a stay at home mom that took very good care of us, her children, and her husband. Carol enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching her “stories”, and “bumming around” with her daughter. She was a lifelong member of St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
Carol will be greatly missed by her children, Jeff (Mary) Paulick, of Oshkosh, Rick (Vickie) Paulick, Oshkosh, Barb (Chris) DuVall, Oshkosh. Grandchildren, Nicole (Kris) Hanson, Oshkosh, Cody Paulick, Oshkosh, Riley, Rianna DuVall, Oshkosh and three geat-grandchildren. One brother, Richard Voelkel, Oshkosh, one sister, Donna (Ed) Bartow, Oshkosh, four brothers-in-law, Steve, Tom (Carol), Pete (Juanita) Paulick, Melvin Diener, three sisters-in-law, Betty Paulick, Edith Zemske, and Suellen (Bill) Longsine. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Barbara, one brother, Daniel (Joan) Voelkel, and one sister-in-law, Gertrude Voelkel.
Funeral services for Carol will be held in Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park) on Friday April 25, at at 6:00 PM with the Rev. William Van DeKreeke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 Pm until the hour of services. (casual attire would be appreciated by the family)
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
Carol’s family wishes to express a very special Thank you to Affinity Hospice, especially April Fuller, Mercy Medical Center, and Eden Meadows Rehabilitation Facility for all their help and care. A special Thank you to Micki Dewing and Lynda Schaffer for all their help whenever needed.
