Carol A. Rick's Obituary
Carol A. Rick, age 62, of Two Rivers, formerly of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 29, 2014. She was born on March 19, 1952 in Chilton, WI, a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Hiermermann) Rick. Carol grew up in New Holstein, and as a child Carol enjoyed watching the Ann Sullivan Show and the Beatles. At a young age she was diagnosed with Polio and became a poster child for the March of Dimes. She graduated from New Holstein High School in 1970 and from there started a family. Carol studied Histology at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and Data Entry at NWTC in Green Bay. She raised her family in the Green Bay area. She worked at Humana in DePere for many years as a Claims Specialist, before retiring. Carol looked forward to time spent with her family and pets. She greatly enjoyed craft making, attending craft fairs, gardening, reading, being outdoors, shopping and most of all riding on the back of a Harley. She looked at life with humor and an open mind, cherishing time spent with her children and grandchildren. Several years ago Carol was able to reconnect with Gary Lisowski, a special friend from her past, who has been by her side for the last few years.
Survivors include Gary Lisowski, of Two Rivers;a son, Cody Campbell of Menasha; two daughters, Shannon (Cole) Sandstrom, Tanya (Travis Stormoen) Elmergreen, both of Oshkosh; two brothers, Frank (Patty) Rick Jr. of Elkhart Lake, Vernon Rick of New Holstein; four grandchildren, Colton, Savanna and Landon Sandstrom; Remmington Bosch. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and Kallie, her faithful companion dog of 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Donnie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Carol on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh, WI. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund will be established.
