Carol Sanders' Obituary
Carol Marie Sanders, 85 of Oshkosh passed away June 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 28, 1928 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Gladys Popp. She married her husband of 62 years, Robert Sanders Sr on June 14 in Elm Grove, WI.
Carol enjoyed golf, traveling, spending some winter months in Florida, reading, trips to the casino and was a #1 Packers fan. One of her passions was cross-stich. Each of her grandchildren received a cross-stiched blanket, birth record picture and bibs after they were born. She also doted on her "grand dogs" , especially Rick’s pup "Roxy”.
She is survived by her husband, 4 children, Robert (Linda) of Steven point, Jeffrey (Lana) Sanders of Princeton, Debra (David G) Flessert of Phillips, WI and Richard Sanders of Neshkoro. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, Katrina, Elizabeth, Robert and Cassandra Sanders, Sara (Jake) Huggard, Amy Marie, Heidi Anne, David J (Coty), Zachary David and Molly Renee Flessert, two great grandchildren, Fiona Valentine and Avalyn Rose Huggard. Further survived by 3 step-grandchildren, Christopher, Danita and Allan, her sister, Pat Seifert, nieces, nephews and sisters in law. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Gladys.
Carol was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11:00 am at St Raphael's Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh. Family and friends may call at the Church from 10am until the time of the Mass service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
