Cathy Wendler's Obituary
Cathy Rose (Warner) Wendler, age 53, of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday afternoon July 11, 2012 at her home. She was born in Oshkosh on April 26, 1959 the daughter of Jerome J. and Geraldine "Gerry" (Kallin) Warner, Jr. She married Ken Wendler on May 23, 1987 at St. John's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Cathy is survived by her husband Ken Wendler and one son Jerome Wendler both of Oshkosh. One step son Joey (Brittany) Forbes of Oshkosh. One brother James (Donna) Warner of Wild Rose, two sisters Vicky (John) Staehler and Sheri (Dale) Applebee both of Oshkosh. Three granddaughters Holly and Melody Forbes and Kadance Vande Voort. Special aunt Sandy Ebel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was employed at Buckstaff, Morgan Door and then at J.J. Keller. She was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Cathy enjoyed playing softball, fishing, hunting, darts and gardening. She loved spending time with family and friends and had the need to take care of people. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Cathy loved playing tennis with her son Jerome. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Cathy's smile, bright eyes and contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew her. She had a kind heart for the people she knew. She tried her best to succeed in life and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 16, 2012 at 7pm at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home @ 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Father William Van De Kreeke will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 2pm until 7pm. Private committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Cathy's name.
