Charles Ruedinger's Obituary
Charles Eugene Ruedinger passed away on Saturday evening, January 24, 2015. “Charlie” was born to Otto and Cecilia (Ratajczak) Ruedinger on May 18, 1949. He was raised on the family farm, attended school in Winneconne and graduated from Lourdes High School in 1968.
He is survived by three brothers, Richard “Dick” (Judy), Oshkosh, Tom, Omro and Art (Dawn) of Oshkosh and one sister, Dolores, Zabel of Winneconne, and one sister-in-law, Suzanne Ruedinger of Oshkosh. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph, two sisters, Barbara Gelhar and Rosemary Kiplin, and three brothers-in laws, Joseph Gelhar, Richard Zabel and Robert Kiplin.
He enjoyed helping out on the family farm. He loved listening to music and playing his guitar. He followed the Packers and NASCAR races. He had overcome many obstacles in his lifetime; however he always kept a positive attitude, he made the best of every situation and he had a wonderful sense of humor. Charlie will always be remembered as having lived a good Christian life.
The family would like to thank the staff at Alten Haus for their exceptional care of Charlie; he was always treated with compassion, respect and dignity. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Charlie’s name. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, St. Vincent site, corner of Oregon st and South Park Ave , The Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church from 11am until the time of services. God bless, Charlie, rest in peace!!
