Cheryl L. LaFontaine's Obituary
Cheryl Lou LaFontaine died unexpectedly at her home on August 26, 2024. Cheryl was born in Oshkosh on October 13, 1946 to the late Phyllis and Keith LaFontaine. She is survived by her brother Chuck (Carol) LaFontaine, nephews Michael and Daniel (Melissa) LaFontaine and beloved great-niece Olivia Jean LaFontaine as well as many cousins and friends.
Cheryl attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School, Lourdes High School, both in Oshkosh and the Ray Vogue College of Design, Chicago. Cheryl also spent time volunteering at the Oshkosh Public Library and St. Jude’s Catholic Church as an office and project volunteer. St. Jude’s Parish community was an integral part of Cheryl’s life. Her other great love were her cats over the years, Tommi, and her last cat Kiki. Cheryl was proud of her extensive Hummel and figurine collection.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at 1:30 pm on Friday, September 27 at St. Jude The Apostle Parish; St. Vincent Church 1225 Oregon Street, Oshkosh. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:30 pm until the time of services.
