Sister Christina Martell, age 92, was born to Joseph Alexander and Rose Martell on August 11, 1925, in Menasha, Wisconsin.
Sister Christina is the ninth of 10 children: 4 brothers; Richard, John, Elmer, and Paul and 5 sisters; Melania, Florence, Sister Lillian (her identical twin), Rose, and Lorraine.
Sister Christina entered the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother on August 2, 1944. She professed vows on August 12, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Rose Martell, her brothers; Richard, John, Elmer, and Paul and her sisters; Melania, Florence, Rose, and Lorraine. She is survived by her twin sister; Sister Lillian.
Homecoming will be at 4:00 p.m. at SSM Franciscan Court on Thursday, September 6, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at SSM Franciscan Courts, Oshkosh, WI on Friday, September 7, 2018. Burial will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Oshkosh, WI.
