Cindy S. Demler's Obituary
Cindy S. Demler, age 54, of Oshkosh, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born on October 22, 1959 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Clayton L. and Audrey E. (Genz) Studley. Cindy married Harold Edward Demler Jr. on October 31, 1980 in Oshkosh. She graduated from Oshkosh West High School and was a member of the Class Reunion Class of 78’ Committee. Cindy worked for 26 years as a floral designer for Stein’s Garden and Gifts. She greatly enjoyed gardening, spending time in Door County along with pontoon boating with her family. Cindy was also involved with and will be remembered for her part in Dream Fund, aka An Evening in The Garden. She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband, Harry of Oshkosh; a son, Adam (Samantha) Demler of Waukau; a daughter, Jaime Demler of Oshkosh; a sister, Pam (Brian) Johnston of Oshkosh; two nieces, Abby (Joey Chiovaro) Wolf, Taryn Johnston; two nephews, Cody Johnston and Chad (Stacy) Martin. She is further survived by other relatives and many very dear friends along with her companion pets, her cats, Bonkers, Neko and Spunky and the family yellow lab Aspen. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Martin. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. The Reverend Carl Knitt will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held for the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
