Clarence B. Krause, Jr.,'s Obituary
Clarence Boyd Krause, Jr., age 83 of Oshkosh, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 in his home. On August 1, 1925 he was born in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Poppi) Krause. At the age of 18 Clarence joined the Navy and served on a destroyer escort, on the USS Abercrombie in the Pacific during World War II. He drove semi trucks hauling hay to the Chicago Stockyards and steel back to Wisconsin. Later he bacame district manager for Spector Freight Systems and Inway Trucking. He and his son started their own trucking company, "ClarDen" in Oshkosh, where he worked until he retired.
His memory will be cherished by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary, who was an amazing caregiver the last couple of years of his life; his children: Dennis (Dawn) Krause, John (Cheryl Krause, and Bonnie (William) Baggett; his seven grandchildren: Allison Davey, Kendelle Krause, Branden Krause, Chad Krause, Meagan Krause, Brian Baggett and Sara Baggett; his two great-grandchildren: Jackson Davey and Blane Davey; and his sisters: Eunice (Don) Bartels and Enid (Harold) Davey. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Thomas Krause and his sister: Elaine Waters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celbrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2008 in St. Raphael the Archangels Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Doug LaCaptain as celebrant. Burial will be in Riveside Cemetery. Clarence's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family from 9-11 a.m., Monday in the church.
