Cletus William Schroeder's Obituary
Cletus William Schroeder, 84, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 26, 1932, in Cashton, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late John and Gertrude Schroeder. Cletus is survived by his wife of 57 years Rita Schroeder (Brueggen), his three children Cynthia M. Smits (Mark), Cletus C. Schroeder (Tabatha), Curtis W. Schroeder (Lisa); grandchildren (Taylor, Parker, Mallorie, Jillella, Alex, Sam, Max, Sydney, and Carson) and his brother Clarence (Lorraine) and his sister Claire (Larry). He was preceded in death by his son, Craig J., a granddaughter, Caitlin Schroeder, his brothers Sylvester (Veronica), Art (Mary), Arnold (Caddy), John (Ginger), and his sister Marion (Harold). He worked at Oshkosh Marine Supply and Kingsbury, Inc. in Oshkosh until he retired in 1995. He enjoyed playing cribbage with his dear friends at the senior center (Gary, Dick, Jim, Harley, Cliff, Clyde, Speed and Cathy), pitching horseshoes, and trying his luck at a scratch off.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church at 830 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI, with service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Cletus William Schroeder to Hospice Angels Foundation, 3237 Riverside Drive, Green Bay, WI 54301.
