Dan V. Wachtveitl's Obituary
Dan V. Wachtveitl, age 62, of Oshkosh passed away on Monday morning, June 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, after courageously enduring a long illness.
Dan was born, August 12, 1953, the son of Ralph and Beverly (Johnson) Wachtveitl, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1971. Dan was employed for many years at Medalist Industries, SNC manufacturing and was the lead vocalist in several local bands, including the Variations.
Dan is survived by his wife, Bonnie Wachtveitl, a brother Richard (Teresa) Wachtveitl and sister Linda (Gary) Frazier. He is further survived by his half- sister Lisa (Shawn) Campbell, stepmother Elaine Wachtveitl, Bonnie's children Tamzen Spiegel and Brandon Blaisdell. His uncle Thomas (Pat) Coates, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Dan was preceded in death by grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 12 noon at All Saints Lutheran Church 1072 Honey Creek Rd. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Rev. Kim Krogstad will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 am until the time of service. Private family committal services will be held.
