Darlene Odie Mathison's Obituary
Darlene Odie Mathison, "Nana", of Oshkosh, went into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 with her son by her side. Born on May 25, 1957 to Kenneth and Audrey (Lucksinger) Mahlke, she was one of six children, one being her "womb mate". Darlene was always willing to help anyone at anytime until her health would no longer allow her to. Darlene was involved with the Oshkosh Special Olympics Adult Program, coaching, volunteering, and baking. Darlene enjoyed reading, baking, on-line auctions, BINGO, baseball and putzing. There is no doubt that she, along with her twin sister and father, will he hollering and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals in Heaven.
Darlene is loved and will be missed by her son, Steven, daughter "in-law" Anna and grandson Kyle Mathison; brothers, John Mahlke, Ray (Mari) Mahlke along with their children Andy (Mary) Mahlke children, Brett and Christina, Jessica (Tim) Mahlke children Jordan and Devon, Ryan (Katrina) Mahlke, Melissa (Derek) Mahlke and Austin Mahlke. David Mahlke and his children, Jennifer Stueck, children, Janna Joselyn and Dustin, Jeanne Mahlke, Justin Mahlke, Meghan and daughter Jayden,sister Sharon (Chuck) Larson, children Linda (Dave) Mahlke and Scott (Kayla) Mahlke, brother-in-law, Terry Button, children, Dchris (Janice) Button, children, Kira and Kendall, Matthew Button, and Amanda Button, children, Kaden, Hunter and Madison. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Dawn Button; parents, Kenneth and Audrey Mahlke, paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Odie Mahlke, maternal grandparents, Fred and Dolly Lucksinger, aunts, uncles and her foster brother Kasey.
Funeral services for Darlene will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. and also again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery and a meal will follow the cemetery at First English Lutheran Church. Rest in Peace Mom. I love you.
