David Lee Lyons' Obituary
David Lee Lyons, age 51 of Oshkosh, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side on Thursday, August 8, 2013. He was born on May 14, 1962 in Oshkosh, a son of the late Robert B. and Mildred E. (Poeschl) Lyons. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He married Deborah E. Voight on April 16, 2004 in Oshkosh. Dave owned and operated the Lyons Den Bar in Oshkosh and greatly enjoyed attending home Packer games on Ratch and Deb's bus. He also enjoyed NASCAR, Badger football, Milwaukee Brewers and was known to travel to Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Deb of Oshkosh; a son, Clinton; three daughters, Shalaun (Phil Pelky) Cartwright, Loni Lyons, Chelsea Lyons; two step-sons, Kenneth (Sara) Feavel and Heath (Annie) Feavel; all of Oshkosh; four brothers, Gary (Darlene), Ronald, both of Oshkosh, James of Las Vegas, Paul (El) Lyons of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Toni Folske of Georgia. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karla. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, August 15 ,2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Full military honors will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery.
