David C. Raddatz's Obituary
David C. Raddatz, age 73, of Oshkosh, died at his home on Thursday, July 8, 2021. He was born on February 8, 1948 a son of the late Edwin and Virginia (Nekoli) Raddatz in Oshkosh. Dave attended Sacred Heart grade school and was a graduate of Lourdes High School Class of 1966. He joined and proudly served his country in the US Air Force that summer, serving for four years and was stationed in Arkansas, Ohio and served a tour in Da Nang, Vietnam. He married Debra Mac Donald in 1975, later divorcing in 1981. He married Sandra Skafte on April 17, 1987 the couple has been married for 34 years. He loved playing golf and cribbage. He was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. He had a “special connection” with garden gnomes given to him by his friends and his daughter.
Dave is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Sandy, (the love of his life), his daughter, Deena Raddatz, (the apple of his eye) and her fiance, Mike Luedeke; his sister, Kathleen Cannon; his brother, James E. Raddatz; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law William and Jan Skafte. He is further survived by his aunt and uncle and numerous cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. Private family services will be held at this time, a celebration of his life will be held for his family and friends and extended family at a later date.
The family wants to thank Dr. Heinzen, his office staff, especially Barb, Mercy Medical Center, ICU, the second floor nurses, and respiratory therapists and also Alex from Heartland Hospice.
