David L. Ruff's Obituary
David Lynn Rufff, age 65, of Oshkosh, died on February 1, 2013. He was born on November 21, 1947. David served his country in the US Army in Vietnam War and during peacetime. He had worked for and was retired from Oshkosh Truck Corp. Dave is survived by a son, Matt (Shawna) Ruff and a daughter, Sarah (Nick) Thern; three grandchildren, Keegan, Kaidyn and Connely; two step-grandchildren, and is also survived by his mother, Mrs. George Ruff and a sister, Nancy (Mike) Davies. He was preceded in death by his father George and longtime special friend, Barb Manthei. He had a love for boating, camping, hunting and the outdoors.
A memorial service will be held celebrating his life on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Oshkosh Senior Center 200 N. Campbell Road. A visitation will be held at the Senior Center from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Full military honors will follow the service. The family will accept both memorials or floral expressions of sympathy. The family was assisted with arrangements with the help of the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home of Oshkosh.
