David Schommer's Obituary
David Schommer, age 58, of Oshkosh, died Thursday December 17, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born in St. Paul MN., on March 8, 1962 the son of Clarence ‘Bud’ Schommer and Diane (Kutzleb) Theuret. Until his retirement Dave was employed as a Sander at Quarry Stone Solid Surface. He was always quick to help out others and could with many things. He loved music and was an avid guitar player, singer, and songwriter. He also loved to learn, read, and explore and he passed that love onto his son.
Dave is survived by his son; Dylan Schommer of Oshkosh. He is also survived by his brothers; Dean (Vicky) Schommer of Oshkosh, Darrin (Peggy) Hoover of Nebraska, Jon Hoover of Idaho, Troy (Sharon) Hoover of Oshkosh, Mark (Charlene) Hoover of Michigan, and sister Lisa (Greg) Day of Idaho. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister; Christine Schommer, and one brother; Daniel Schommer.
Funeral services for Dave will be held on Monday December 28, at 6:00 PM in Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park) with the Rev Brad Dokken officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM until the hour of services
