David Chapman "Stonebuffalo"'s Obituary
David C. “Stonebuffalo” Chapman, age 54, of Fremont, died Wednesday September 4, 2013 in Madison. He was born in St. Louis MO., on June 5, 1959 the son of the late Ralph and Earline Walker Chapman. He married Wendy Mitchell, on April 13, 2005 in Harrisburg IL. David was a member of the American Indian Movement, Lakota Spirituality, was a Pow Wow Drummer and Dancer, loved woodcarving, and loved teaching children and adults Native American traditions.
Survivors include his wife; Wendy Chapman Stonebuffalo, of Fremont, one step-son; John Quattrociocchi, one step-daughter; Angela (Robert) Goldsmith, one grandson; Robert Goldsmith, two sisters and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for David will be held in the Poklasny Funeral Home on Tuesday September 10, at 6:00 PM with Art Shegone officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 Pm until the hour of services.
Memorial donations may be given the The Native American College Fund.
