Debra A. Schmude's Obituary
It’s with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Debra(Debbie) Ann Schmude (64), who passed away from cancer on April 1st, 2026. Born on September 16th, 1961, Debbie had a love for crafting, cooking, and celebrating (holidays, birthdays, milestones) and making something special for the people she loved. She was truly creative, and every single detail was crafted with love. She was always there in any way she could, from assisting her father (Leon Guldan) and Leon’s Aunt (Amelia Pickart) with their health battles to supporting her mother through knee surgeries, Leon’s passing, or just small errands. She was always there. Debbie worked for many jobs throughout her career. Most of all, she loved farming; it was her passion. It was a dream that she achieved. She also worked at the Pioneer Inn, Antigo jail, Copps Food, Arts for Kids day care, Franciscan Courts, and, most recently, as a food server at Perry Tipler Middle School, from her love for working with children to make them feel comfortable and happy to making delicious food for the nuns. She continued to share her positivity and made an impact on everyone she met.
