Dennis Luebke's Obituary
Dennis Edward Luebke (Ben) met his eternal rest at his home on Sunday, June 23, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
Dennis was born on September 19, 1940, on the Luebke Homestead Dan Dee Vue Farm just south of Oshkosh on Country Club Road where the family home yet stands and the farm now graced as a beautiful sub-division of Oshkosh.
As the fifth of eight children born to Lawrence and Elsie Stauss Luebke, Dennis was Christened, received his First Holy Communion and was Confirmed at St Peter Catholic Church where he attended its school from kindergarten through ninth grade.
After graduation from Oshkosh High School, Dennis~ following the footsteps of his three older brothers~ enlisted in the United States Navy serving our nation for four years. He then returned to Oshkosh, and in 1969 he married Bonnie L Kutzleb. Shortly thereafter, Dennis began employment at what was then “Oshkosh Truck” where he worked as a machinist for thirty-eight years.
Dennis was a private man with simple taste, as a lover of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying annual trips to northern Wisconsin. He also was a fierce Sheep Head player and golfer. He will be deeply missed by all who love him.
Dennis and Bonnie’s three children include Brenda M (Jeffrey) Frank, Bridgett J Petersen and her two children Becky and Andy; and their son Kevin T and his daughter, Elizabeth along with his children’s mother and devoted friend, Bonnie.
He is further survived by two brothers, Stephen (Carlene) and Paul (Candice) both of Oshkosh; and three sisters~ Lois also of Oshkosh and Mary (James) Keefer and Madeline Luebke both of Bozeman, Page Two of Two- Dennis E Luebke Obituary

Dennis was uncle to thirty-six nieces and nephews, thirty great nieces and nephews and is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Ir`ene Luebke of Cape Cod and brother-in-law, Col Richard Henry of Rough and Ready, California; and several dear friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Elsie Amanda; brother David L Luebke and sister Joan M Luebke Henry; two special aunts and their husbands~ Albert P and Mae Ruth Luebke Cobb and George P and Emma Stauss Nevitt.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Thursday, 27 June 2013 at St Peter Catholic Church on High Street, Oshkosh from 4:00-6:00 in the afternoon with the Rosary recited at 5:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 6:00 with Fr James Jungenheimer, Pastor of St Peter presiding.
Dennis will be laid to rest with military honors near his parents at Peace Cemetery on Fisk Avenue in Oshkosh at 11:00 in the morning on Friday, 28 June 2013.
The siblings of Dennis would like to extend a warm thank you to his daughter Brenda and her husband, Jeff Frank who tenderly and devotedly cared for Dennis through the several years of his difficult journey with lung disease, and also send a special thank you to our sister Mary and brother Stephen for their kind hearts and faithful love to Dennis.
