Dennis Lee Schneider's Obituary
Dennis Lee Schneider, age 58, of Oshkosh, passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side on Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born on the Air Force Base at Omaha, Nebraska on October 2, 1958 a son of Dennis Raymond and Sharon L. (Martin) Schneider. He married the former Debra Ann Harvot on July 3, 1980 in Oshkosh. He was a longtime member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Dennis greatly enjoyed yearly family trips to the beach. He also had a great passion for grouse and pheasant hunting and time spent with his family and friends. He was a hardcore diehard Green Bay Packer Fan. He will be sadly missed by all especially his "girls", (his wife and daughters).
He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife Debbie of 36 years; three daughters, Christine (Josh) Schumann of Pickett, Danielle (Ryan Larson) Schneider and Stephanie Schneider, both of Oshkosh; his parents, Dennis R. and Sharon Schneider of Oshkosh; a brother, Brian (Sherry) Schneider of Pine River; two sisters, Dawn (Terry) McHugh of Grapevine, Texas, Denise (Todd) Buettner of Shawano; two grandchildren, Carson and Kennedy Schumann.. He is further survived by his mother in law, Gloria Harvot of Oshkosh; several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father in law, James Harvot, brother in law, Gary Harvot and nephew, Jason Schneider.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Sat. February 4, 2017 at 12 noon in in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. with the Rev. Edward Looney officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sat. from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology and Theda Care Hospice for the care that was extended to Dennis and the family.
