Dennis L. "Lee" Stahl's Obituary
Dennis L. “Lee” Stahl, age 85 of Oshkosh, passed away on January 28, 2026. He was born on November 18, 1940 in Oshkosh a son of the late Harold and Marie (Biesinger) Stahl. He attended St. Mary's School and Oshkosh High School. Lee proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1960 to September of 1963, spending nearly four years and was mainly stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu. While stationed there he met the woman who would become his wife, the daughter of Col. Tex and Pat Molder, he married the former Suzanne Mae “Sue” Molder on September 27, 1963 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sue was taken from Lee after 43 years of marriage from a battle with cancer. Lee had worked for more than 25 years Arrowhead Conveyor Company and also at Shoreview Lanes part time after retirement from Arrowhead. One of Lee's greatest feats in sports was in bowling, for on February 3, 1967 he bowled a 300 game and ended with a 700 series at St. Mary's Lanes.
He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by two sons, Darren (fiance Janet Budd) and Chad (Kelli) Stahl; two grandchildren, Keyanah Jean (Kyle) Sheprow and Zachary Michael a great-grandson, Hudson Sheprow. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue on December 21, 2006; a brother James; a sister in law, Barbara Stahl and mother and father in law, Clarence and Elizabeth Molder.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 4 pm in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Avenue in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 3pm until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery Veterans section in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the charity of ones choice.
