Dolores E BEDNAREK's Obituary
Dolores Emily Bednarek died on January 15, 2021 at Oakwood Manor, reuniting with her beloved spouse Raymond Bednarek, who died this past October.
Dolores was born in western Minnesota on April 20, 1922 to Anna and Leopold Wargin. She grew up on Milwaukee’s South Side where she attended St. Anthony’s School. She is a proud graduate of South Division High School and later secretarial school. During World War II and the early years of her marriage she worked at several secretarial and office positions, among them Allis Chalmers and Rhea/Glen manufacturing.
Dolores married her soul mate and love of her life, Raymond Bednarek on August 19, 1945. They were able to celebrate 75 wonderful years of married life in 2020. She is survived by her children Pamela (Raymond) Rucinski, Lance, Andrea and Quentin (Sally) Bednarek. Her son Gregory (Donna) preceded her in death. All her parents, siblings and in-laws preceded her in death except for one sister.
Dolores is further survived by 9 grandchildren: Naletta Rucinski (Rolando Sanchez), Jennifer (Rogerio) Saddy, David Rucinski, Julie (Skyler) Witalison, Seanna and Erin Bednarek, Brian (Brie) Bednarek, Bret and Sara Bednarek. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren: Greyson Burr and Gavin, Sasha and Maya Sanchez, Lucas and Tessa Saddy, Nora Eaton, Ella and Maria Witalison, Callie Bednarek. She is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and their families.
Funeral arrangements by Fiss, Bills and Poklasny of Oshkosh. Due to Covid restrictions, a joint family memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later time for both Dolores and Raymond.
Our family appreciates the loving care and friendly staff of both Oakwood Manor and Heartland Hospice who made her last years enjoyable. Their care enabled Dolores and Ray to stay together in their last years.
