Donald F (Lumpy) Wolff's Obituary
Donald F. Wolff, Sr., age 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at his home in Oshkosh after a short illness. He was born in Oshkosh on February 8, 1951, the son of Frederick and Marion (Butzlaff) Wolff. Don married Patricia Berndt in Grace Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, on June 2, 1984. Until the time of his retirement, Don was employed by Geodis Warehousing in Fond du Lac as a forklift operator. Lumpy enjoyed NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and bowling. He and Patty enjoyed singing
karaoke. He had a great voice. He was also a proud founding member of the “8 th Street Gang”.
Don is survived by his wife, Patty Wolff, Oshkosh, four sons; Don (Kelly)Wolff, Oshkosh, Shawn (Shirin) Skifstad, Oshkosh, Shannon (Kelly) Skifstad, FL., Shane (Crystal) Skifstad, Oshkosh, one daughter; Sabrina (Barry) Johnson, Oshkosh, fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister; Barbara (Joe) Nemeth, Oshkosh, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Kathy Wanner, Tom and Lori Berndt, Jeff and Debie Berndt, and David Berndt. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws; Bernerd and Florence Berndt; Bill and Beth Wara, and Bobby Berndt.
A time of remembrance will be held in The Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W. South Park, Oshkosh) on Thursday, May 30, from 3:00-6:00 PM. Committal services for Don will be held in Lake View Memorial Park on Friday, May 31, at 2:00 PM.
Lumpy was a great guy and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
